CII National Competition on Low Cost AUTOMATION

NATIONAL COMPETITION ON LOW COST AUTOMATION is announced by CII. The competition is to be held online on 6-7 July, 2023 – CISCO WEBX

CII Instiute of Quality is organizing its 8th National Competition on Low Cost Automation to support the
Make-in-India Campaign by enhancing the compeveness of Indian Industry in the global market. With
escalating manpower and rising production costs, Low Cost Automation (LCA) is a viable survival strategy for
organizations all across the globe.

Indian Industry needs to prepare itself and take adequate measures to face the stiff competition that exists in the global scenario and Low Cost Automation is one of the tools in the manufacturing sector that could help them face these challenges.

This competition on catalyzes the widespread adoption of LCA (Low Cost Automation) & LCD (Low Cost
Digitalisation) practices across Indian industry through sharing of the best case studies.

MAIN OBJECTIVES:

¶ To recognize the best in class LCA that resulted in improvement in PQCDSME (Productivity, Quality, Cost, Delivery, Safety, Morale & Energy)
¶ To understand and assess how various LCA techniques are implemented by organizations in different processes as well as scenarios
¶ To provide a national platform for cross learning different LCA Techniques from the presented case studies, interaction with LCA implementers, LCA Gadget providers and Low Cost Automation / Intelligent (LCD) Automation Services Providers / Integrators
¶ To provide opportunities to Automation gadgets suppliers / Integrators / Solution providers – To showcase their products and services through virtual exhibition / stalls
¶ To promote “AtmaNirbhar Bharat”, “Make-In-India” and “Zero Defect & Zero Effect (ZED)” iniaves
launched by Govt of India

GUIDELINES:
Participating companies should submit “LCA Case Studies” successfully implemented after 1st January 2022 with ROI (Payback Period) of less or equal to 2 years
« Application should be submitted in the format given in “LCA Application Form” i.e. Annexure-1
« Presentations meet 8+2 minutes & maximum 25 slides, supported by a small movie clip whenever applicable.
« 3 Minutes Q&A Session by Jury Panel additional
« Presentation to be made in specified format.

APPLICATION EVALUATION:

Panel of Eminent Experts would evaluate each application of “LCA Case Studies” & selected case studies
shall be presented in the competition.
